Welcome
to my work
I’m glad
you’re here.
I’m Katie Taylor (they/she), creator of
Tree Glass Studios in Hampden, Maine.
I hand draw my patterns (no AI here) from my walks in the Maine woods and my global travels. My work is created by me in my studio using the slow techniques of glass artists who came before me.
With little exception, my work is my own. Sometimes I buy patterns from other artists and create art from their designs. I give these artists credit in each listing on my shop page.
Let’s work together.
I vend at festivals around Maine and New England
and have my work in several shops.
If you’re interested in having me at your event or your store, please reach out with all the details. I’m always happy to hear about new opportunities.
A little more
about me.

Sometimes! I’m very busy creating art for markets and festivals so I don’t take commissions very often. That said, I do accept them on occasion. Use the contact page and send me your ideas.

Yes! In the near future - early 2027 - I will be all set up in my new studio and will be available to teach classes. Sign up for my email newsletter and you’ll be the first to know!

Yes and no. My studio is private BUT, I do have events now and again where you can visit. And, I teach classes (see above). Sign up for my email newsletter to get the jump on all of my events! Feel free to reach out to me via the contact page if you’re interested in dropping by.

I’m not licensed or insured to install stained glass windows. That said! I’m happy to work with you and/or your contractor on the installation part of things. Feel free to reach out to me via the contact page with your ideas.

Taking care of glass art is pretty easy! See my Caring for Glass Art page and download a free care guide.

As much as I would love to, I don’t have the time or insurance to do repair work right now. I do hope to add this to my work in the future!
