Victorian Floral Leaded Stained Glass Window
This window is made in the centuries-old technique of leading and cementing. Each piece of glass is hand cut, ground to fit and then seated into long lead strips that are cut to exact length. The piece is then cemented, cured, polished and framed.
I made the window with traditional, textured English muffle glass and added a singular amber crystal in the middle. Crystals and bevels were often added to Victorian and Edwardian windows to add to the luxury of the style that used to represent wealth and prestige.
Materials: Stained glass, lead solder, glass cement, zinc metal frame; sturdy metal hooks and chain included for hanging.
Measurements: Approximately 10 x 16 inches
Created by: Katie with Tree Glass Studios
